I’m a Londoner who moved up North to get outside more. And that’s what I’ve done. Being outside inspires me, it gives me a healthier state of mind, it energises me in a way that sitting in an office never could.
My wife and I packed up our flat, lived in a tent for 3 months hiking around England and then settled in the lovely town of Glossop, just on the outskirts of the Peak District.
This blog is about my experiences working outdoors in the beautiful Peaks with a variety of organisations and people.
Through the work I do I look after the myriad of habitats in the Peak District for the benefit of the people spending time in them and for the preservation of wildlife, which is my core passion. It is my firm hope that the work I do will help stem the tide against the rapid decline we are seeing in British wildlife. I’ve always wanted to leave a legacy and this feels like one I could be proud of.
If I can just make my small contribution.
